Oyetola’s Wife Mobilises 10,000 Female Canvassers for Oyebamiji as the All Progressives Congress (APC) intensifies grassroots mobilisation ahead of the August 15 Osun State governorship election.
According to reports monitored by Valid9ja from The Nation, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola, wife of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, unveiled the 10,000-member women campaign structure, known as Akobi Obinrin, during a solidarity walk in Osogbo.
The event drew several APC leaders, including the wife of the party’s governorship candidate, Alhaja Sekinat Oyebamiji; the wife of the deputy governorship candidate, Princess Adebukola Adereti; and other party officials. Participants marched through major roads in the Osun State capital before converging at the party’s campaign office.
Mrs Oyetola said the women group, initially formed to support President Bola Tinubu, had now been activated to boost grassroots support for APC governorship candidate Asiwaju Bola Munirudeen Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO. She added that the campaign structure covers all local council development areas and polling units across the state.

Mrs Oyetola explained that the initiative is designed to educate voters on the proper way to cast valid ballots and ensure that votes meant for the APC are not invalidated during the election. She said the organisation has coordinators and assistants spread across the state’s grassroots communities.
Information obtained by Valid9ja from The Nation shows the campaign network includes coordinators in all 3,763 polling units across Osun State, supported by women opinion leaders who will engage directly with residents before election day.
The APC governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, later joined the supporters during the rally and described the mobilisation as a “Walk to Win.” He urged women and other eligible voters across Osun State to participate actively in the election and support the APC at the polls.
Oyebamiji said an APC victory would provide an opportunity to restore development across key sectors of the state. He maintained that his administration would focus on improving governance and delivering projects that directly benefit residents if elected.
The mobilisation comes as political parties continue to strengthen their campaign structures ahead of the governorship election. Recent weeks have also witnessed the inauguration of additional grassroots canvassers by APC campaign officials in different parts of Osun State as the party seeks wider voter outreach.
