According to reports monitored by Valid9ja, the suspect, a former commercial motorcycle rider, was intercepted by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) shortly after arriving in Nigeria from Uganda.
Valid9ja gathered that the suspect allegedly swallowed the illicit drug in an attempt to evade security checks before boarding his flight into Lagos. However, intelligence-led surveillance by NDLEA officers reportedly led to his arrest at the airport.

Following his arrest, the suspect was placed under close medical observation in line with established NDLEA procedures for suspected internal drug concealment.
Information obtained by Valid9ja shows that after several hours of observation, the suspect excreted a total of 100 wraps of methamphetamine, which were carefully recovered by anti-narcotics officers as evidence.
The recovered substance is believed to be methamphetamine, a highly addictive synthetic stimulant that remains one of the most trafficked hard drugs globally.
Officials said investigations are ongoing to determine the exact quantity of the recovered narcotics, identify possible collaborators, and establish the intended destination of the drugs.
Suspect reportedly abandoned commercial motorcycle business
Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect previously worked as a commercial motorcycle rider, popularly known as an “okada” rider, before allegedly becoming involved in international drug trafficking.
Authorities are investigating whether he belongs to a wider drug syndicate operating between Uganda and Nigeria.
The NDLEA has consistently warned criminal networks against using Nigeria’s airports and borders for narcotics trafficking, stressing that improved intelligence gathering and surveillance have increased the agency’s ability to detect sophisticated smuggling methods.
